Google Map Your Shopping

HERE'S A DAY'S SHOPPING mapped by Greg McCarroll on Google. He needed to "do some hacking ... so armed with Perl and Javascript I started analysing my bill". Big hint: avoid Croyden if you want to save plastic money.

McCarroll observes, "It's pretty clear to see I live in London even though I haven't told the program that and my credit card doesn't contain any mention of London".

Now's here's a scary thought--according to The Economist, Tesco has the same kind of data mining for the general population of England.
