Pick up the FON
FON launches today and it's worth watching. I heard about it from Antoin O Lachtnain. FON's goal is to create a "Unified WiFi Network that will let members of the community to share not just bandwidth but also experiences and values". I'm interested in sharing bandwidth and in collaborating with people who have the same ideas in mind too. So I registered my interest. This kind of initiative helps disadvantaged areas. Socially deprived areas need both low cost connectivity to the internet and they need help with local connectivity.
