Flowers in Raheen House
FIVE OF NINETEEN over-sized lilies have bloomed for a Red Letter Day in my life as Ruth and I formally tie the knot in a civil ceremony that's remarkable not only for its emotional dimension but also for its timing, its venue, and to the remarkable social networking that has made the day much more special than we had imagined when trying to keep things low-key. To all the well-wishers who somehow figured out what was going on--THANKS A MILLION. There's no way a small writing room would accommodate more than a handful of people and it's nice to see the reactions on our phones and in cross-commentary in electronic networks. We appreciate all the warmth and hope to share all the joy coming our way.

Crikey, amn't I the slow one! Congrats Bernie and Ruth :-)

Congratulations to the both of you. When you mentioned a "Red Letter Day" I didn't realise that the red was confetti. May you have a wonderful wedding and a brilliant marriage.

"Low-key"?!
You were so "low-key" that I had several work-related phone conversations with you yesterday while all this was going on and I was none the wiser! :)
Well done, congratulations - and we're looking forward to more exciting news!
