Flowers in Raheen House

Fourth of NineteenFIVE OF NINETEEN over-sized lilies have bloomed for a Red Letter Day in my life as Ruth and I formally tie the knot in a civil ceremony that's remarkable not only for its emotional dimension but also for its timing, its venue, and to the remarkable social networking that has made the day much more special than we had imagined when trying to keep things low-key. To all the well-wishers who somehow figured out what was going on--THANKS A MILLION. There's no way a small writing room would accommodate more than a handful of people and it's nice to see the reactions on our phones and in cross-commentary in electronic networks. We appreciate all the warmth and hope to share all the joy coming our way.
