Aileen Lambert
Temple Bar, Dublin, Ireland
During part of the MAVIS programme in Temple Bar, artist Aileen Lambert recapped several of the projects that she participated in during Young EV+A 2005. The three projects stress the importance of place, and the wealth and richness of oral culture which exists in Limerick City. They include:
- "The Banshee Lives in the Handball Alley". This is a collection of stories on DVD, by St Mary’s Boys School done in collaboration with artist/filmmaker Michael Fortune.
- "On Loan… from Our House". This exhibition of household ornaments with accompanying catalogue was run by the Northside Youth Development Project, with Aillen, Michael Fortune and photographer Maurice Gunning.
- “That’s What They Say Anyway…” is a mapping of sites connected to local folklore in the Moyross area, by St. Nessans Community College students, assisted by Lambert and Fortune.
