London Under Attack

I flew out of London about a fortnight before the terrorist bombs exploded near several of the places I walked and traveled. I was suprised that this kind of thing had not happened sooner. I was not surprised by the way Londoners dusted off the debris and kept on working. The bombs pressed home a message that worlds away from other turmoil, it pays to push for a stable government in Iraq, peace between Israel and Palestine and for reform in the conduct of foreign policy throughout the Middle East.
