You sometimes learn more from the unindexed pages than from articles included in the Table of Contents. For example, I didn't know you could control an iPod from 60 feet away. You can if you use the AirClick remote control from Griffin. O'Reilly is doing its part to keep the hacking ethos alive with a series of informative books, including "Home Theater Hacks", "Smart Home Hacks" and "Home Hacking Projects", all recommended.
Every issue of Make gives me more ideas of ways to use materials I find in recycling yards. The magazine is O'Reilly's most socially responsible publications.
