Harry T. Price, the second of six children, was born in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. He worked numerous jobs in his youth, beginning as a paperboy, grocery stocker, concessionaire and gas station attendant. While attending Lock Haven State University he served as a master of ceremonies throughout the area until he became a news anchor for WBPZ-TV, a CBS-TV satellite station. Following his graduation from Lock Haven State with a Bachelor's degree, he began his high school teaching career. While doing graduate work at Penn State University, he also worked as a salesman.

Harry and his family moved to Fairfield in 1965, to begin a 33-year career teaching English at Vanden High School. Awarded an academic fellowship in 1969, he took a leave of absence and moved his family to Western Washington State University in Bellingham, Washington, where he earned a Master of Science degree in 1970.

Selected as the Solano County Teacher of the Year in 1986, Harry continued teaching until his retirement in 1998.

Harry was appointed to the Fairfield Community Services Commission in 1988, where he served until he was appointed to the Fairfield Planning Commission in 1992. He served on the Planning Commission until his election to the Fairfield City Council in 1997. Harry was elected Vice-Mayor in 1999 and ran unopposed for Mayor in 2005.

Active in the League of California Cities, Harry was elected President of the North Bay Division in 2002. Twice elected President of the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District, he is the President of the California Association of Sanitary Agencies and is currently finishing his fourth year as a member of the Association's Board of Directors.

Harry and his wife have five adult children and four grandchildren they love to visit in Oregon and Hawaii. They share a common interest in ballet, opera, the symphony, and the theatre.
